People who know Dominic well are aware of his extreme distaste for all recorded material. He has written a couple of articles on the subject and his thoughts are expressed more fully in his book.

Nevertheless, he has been recorded during most of his live concerts at universities and elsewhere. He has generally accepted these situations out of necessity but he still refuses to listen to the recordings and only grudgingly makes them available for close friends or family.

Dominic wishes to clarify that he is not dissatisfied with his performance, he simply believes recordings are a worthless technological advance that have crippled music entirely.

However, in an unforeseen and unusual relaxation of his personal rules, he will be professionally recording and releasing a CD. It is not entirely understood why, but perhaps he realizes it will serve some purpose toward his ultimate goal.

The works on the CD have not been announced, but expect a lot of Bach. It will be recorded at the Glenn Gould Studio in the CBC building in Toronto in the early summer of 2008. Expect it to be available for purchase on this website, online retailers and in select local stores by September, 2008.
