TEACHING

The dialogue between student and teacher is the foundation of music. Discussion, debate and demonstration propel musical thought through generations of artists.

Instead of forcing their own ideals upon a student, teachers must encourage independent judgement in matters of interpretation. With each new musician arises a unique blend of previous traditions.

Methods of teaching are also distinct. My own process is suited to a certain kind of musician; it is perhaps best described as an attempt to create conscious pianists. Every action is preceded by thought, and all thoughts are powered by knowledge. Passion and precision are paramount.

I would be happy to give private lessons to any advanced pianist. One lesson or several lessons, the choice is yours. Please contact me for more information.
